Progress to report

I have made some small progress on Princess of Shadows, pushing it over 27,000 words, but that’s after days of puttering around with the existing text, tweaking and snipping.  It has been hard to get back to the serious daily word output I need to get this book really rolling, and I am not sure why.  It’s as if spending all that time on other projects drained my energy; or it could be I am scared that i can handle writing this particular story, which dives much deeper into everyday Val life, and in which not a lot blows up.

The 5 day promotion for The Peach Orchard is ending tonight, and while it was gratifying to get 270 or so downloads, I will just have to see if that translates into sales.  Since my last promotion for Princess of Wonders, I am seeing a (very) modest uptick in sales, helped, no doubt, by the two great reviews it received.

  1. I can’t wait to read princess of shadows. I enjoyed the first two books a great deal and look forward to reading more about Kathy and val.

    1. Thank you for reading the stories– I’m glad you enjoyed them. I should give you fair warning, I’m estimating it’s going to take about six months to complete a draft of Shadows, and then longer to finish the fully edited novel, so please bear with me. I’ll try not to get to get too distracted by other projects.
